What data is collected

This website collects personal data only when you provide it directly:

  • Contact form: the name, email address, and message you submit are sent to my email address so I can respond to your enquiry. This data is not stored in a database on the website itself.
  • Direct email or documents you send me: if you send a document for translation, it may contain personal data (yours or a third party's). This is treated as confidential source material, used solely to perform the requested translation, and is not shared with anyone beyond what the job requires. A non-disclosure agreement can be signed on request for sensitive material.

This website does not use analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies, and does not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal basis and purpose

Contact-form and email data is processed based on your consent (by submitting it to me) and, once a job is agreed, to perform the translation or creative-services contract between us. Business records (invoices, correspondence related to paid work) are retained as required by Czech accounting and tax law.

Retention

Contact-form enquiries that do not lead to further work are kept only as long as needed to respond, and are deleted thereafter. Records relating to completed paid work are retained for the period required by law (currently up to 10 years for accounting/tax records).

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data I hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data, where it is no longer needed or legally required
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajú, uoou.cz) if you believe your data has been mishandled
