Business details
Michal Cinciala, Freelance Translator and Interpreter
Denisova 4, 779 00 Olomouc, Czech Republic
IČO: 60004487
General terms and conditions
All translation requests should be confirmed by an order specifying the agreed price before work begins. Technical documents should be accompanied by any reference material, drawings, or diagrams the client has available, to help ensure accuracy.
Translations are invoiced based on the word count of the source text, unless otherwise agreed in writing beforehand. If an order is cancelled after work has started, completed work is billed in full and suspended work is billed at 50%.
Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are payable within 21 working days of the invoice date. Overdue payment may result in work in progress being suspended and may incur interest at standard commercial rates.
Complaints about a delivered translation are considered if raised in writing within seven days of delivery. After that period, the translation is considered accepted. Where a complaint is upheld, I will provide a corrected version at no additional cost; if the correction is not satisfactory, a partial or full refund may be issued at my discretion.
I am not liable for delays caused by third-party infrastructure (email, postal, or courier services) outside my control. A defect in part of a translation is not grounds for disputing the entire translation — I reserve the right to correct such issues directly.
Warranty
I guarantee the quality and delivery date of every order I accept. Translations are supplied for the purpose stated by the client; while I take every care to ensure accuracy, I cannot guarantee agreement with purely subjective stylistic preferences.
If a delivered translation contains errors, I will provide a corrected version promptly. If a late delivery is directly and solely attributable to me, I will reimburse up to 100% of the order value for that delay.
Liability
Services are provided on an as-available basis without warranties beyond those stated above. I am not liable for incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the services provided. My maximum liability in any case (other than death or personal injury) is limited to the value of the order concerned. I am not responsible for the loss of, or damage to, source materials supplied by the client — please retain your own copies.
Payment
Payment is accepted by bank transfer or PayPal. Invoices are issued electronically (PDF). Payment terms are confirmed on a case-by-case basis and stated on the invoice, typically 21–30 days from delivery. For new clients or larger orders, an advance payment may be requested; in such cases, you will always receive a preview of the completed work before payment is due.
These terms apply to all work carried out for clients unless a separate written agreement states otherwise. For questions about any of the above, please get in touch.
